Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A Rose And Her Three Daughters by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,148.07). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Paintings at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eleanor Fortescue Brickdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work And all generations shall call her blessed in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,683.57).
