Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Toleransi Itu Mahal (Tolerance Is Expensive) by Eko Nugroho was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,784.25). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eko Nugroho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy), which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 693,000.00 (€ 77,054.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Toleransi Itu Mahal (Tolerance Is Expensive) von Eko Nugroho kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.784,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Eko Nugroho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy) beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 693.000,00 (€ 77.054,58) versteigert wurde.
