Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mask Series No. 3, 2012 by Eko Nugroho was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,189.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eko Nugroho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy) in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 77,054.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mask Series No. 3, 2012 von Eko Nugroho wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.189,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eko Nugroho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 77.054,58).
