Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Garden Full Of Blooming Democracy #8 by Eko Nugroho was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,129.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eko Nugroho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy), which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 693,000.00 (€ 77,054.58).

Die Arbeit Garden Full Of Blooming Democracy #8 von Eko Nugroho kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.129,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eko Nugroho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy) beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 693.000,00 (€ 77.054,58) versteigert wurde.
