This artwork by Eko Nugroho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work Conflict Of Suggestion sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,919.43) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eko Nugroho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy), which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 693,000.00 (€ 77,054.58).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eko Nugroho erzielte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Conflict Of Suggestion für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.919,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eko Nugroho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seneng Kuwi Larang Regane (Happiness is Expensive to Buy) beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 693.000,00 (€ 77.054,58) versteigert wurde.
