Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Eishosai Choki was sold in the Japanese Art and Design auction at Christies in London in July 2005. The price achieved of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,784.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,800.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eishosai Choki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Open seam (Hokorobi) in July last year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,186.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Eishosai Choki wurde im Juli 2005 in der Auktion Japanese Art and Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.784,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.800,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eishosai Choki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Open seam (Hokorobi) im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.186,55).
