Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eileen Bell could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Waiting For The Fish Boat, Aldeburgh changed hands for GBP 600.00 (€ 885.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eileen Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work House Boats At Low Tide, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,011.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eileen Bell konnte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit Waiting For The Fish Boat, Aldeburgh für GBP 600,00 (€ 885,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eileen Bell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit House Boats At Low Tide beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.011,68) versteigert wurde.
