Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eileen Bell could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Kitchen, Clare'S Cottage; And Clare'S Cottage changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 265.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work House Boats At Low Tide in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,011.68).
