Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work The Circus; The Clowns; And Dockside Christmas Party by Eileen Bell for GBP 180.00 (€ 265.74). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Bell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work House Boats At Low Tide in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,011.68).
