Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work The Garden Table by Eileen Bell for GBP 360.00 (€ 531.47). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Eileen Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work House Boats At Low Tide in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,011.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Garden Table von Eileen Bell für GBP 360,00 (€ 531,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eileen Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit House Boats At Low Tide im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.011,68).
