Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 149,000.00 (€ 133,812.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250.00 (€ 27,305,215.43).

Die Arbeit Segelschiff mit Ruderboot (Triest) von Egon Schiele kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 133.812,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00.
