In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints, which included the work A tavern scene by Egbert van Heemskerck the Elder. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,198.83), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egbert van Heemskerck the Elder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Doctor'S Surgery in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,341.84).

Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit A tavern scene von Egbert van Heemskerck the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.198,83) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egbert van Heemskerck the Elder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Doctor'S Surgery im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.341,84).
