Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edwin Lord Weeks could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Art auction, the work Persian Peasant Seated Atop A Rock changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,234.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Lord Weeks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the courtyard in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 687,664.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edwin Lord Weeks konnte im April 2021 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Art wechselte die Arbeit Persian Peasant Seated Atop A Rock für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.234,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
