In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Blacksmith's Shop at Tangiers by Edwin Lord Weeks. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 126,000.00 (€ 149,275.97), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edwin Lord Weeks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the courtyard in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 687,664.22).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blacksmith's Shop at Tangiers von Edwin Lord Weeks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 126.000,00 (€ 149.275,97) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Lord Weeks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the courtyard im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 541.250,00 (€ 687.664,22).
