Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,214.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Lord Weeks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the courtyard in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 687,664.22).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.214,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Lord Weeks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the courtyard im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 541.250,00 (€ 687.664,22).
