Sold at the lower estimate price
The work "Native Tailors" by Edwin Lord Weeks was sold in the Important Winter Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2020. The result of SEK 40,000.00 (€ 3,983.65) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Lord Weeks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the courtyard in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 687,664.22).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit "Native Tailors" von Edwin Lord Weeks wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 40.000,00 (€ 3.983,65) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edwin Lord Weeks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the courtyard im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 541.250,00 (€ 687.664,22).
