Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The farmyard by Edward Wilkins Waite was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2005. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,522.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Wilkins Waite achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Orchard in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 23,900.00 (€ 36,967.89).
