The auction ended at the price of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,715.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Wilkins Waite - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Orchard, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 23,900.00 (€ 36,967.89).
