Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rocky Coast by Edward Wesson was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 305.50 (€ 499.41). Admittedly, works by Edward Wesson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thames barges racing on the estuary in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,240.00 (€ 4,702.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rocky Coast von Edward Wesson kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 305,50 (€ 499,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wesson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thames barges racing on the estuary im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.240,00 (€ 4.702,68).
