Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pink roses in a glass vase, on a table by Edward Wesson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 456.00 (€ 671.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Wesson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thames barges racing on the estuary in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,240.00 (€ 4,702.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pink roses in a glass vase, on a table von Edward Wesson kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 671,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wesson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thames barges racing on the estuary im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.240,00 (€ 4.702,68).
