Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work An Iberian castle by Edward Villiers Rippingille. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 968.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Villiers Rippingille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Settling The Account in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,288.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Iberian castle von Edward Villiers Rippingille zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 968,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Villiers Rippingille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Settling The Account im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.288,85).
