Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A fireside tale by Edward Villiers Rippingille was sold in the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 763.75 (€ 1,096.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Villiers Rippingille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Settling The Account in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,288.85).

Die Arbeit A fireside tale von Edward Villiers Rippingille wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 763,75 (€ 1.096,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Villiers Rippingille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Settling The Account im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.288,85).
