Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Angel of the Sea by Edward Reginald Frampton was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,194.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Reginald Frampton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa), which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 173,000.00 (€ 202,265.07).

Die Arbeit The Angel of the Sea von Edward Reginald Frampton kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 77.194,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Reginald Frampton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Our Lady of Promise (La Madonna di Promessa) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 173.000,00 (€ 202.265,07) versteigert wurde.
