Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected New York images by Edward Pfizenmaier was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April 2001. The price achieved of USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,648.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Pfizenmaier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, 1954, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,977.39).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.648,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Pfizenmaier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, 1954 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 6.977,39) versteigert wurde.
