The work Coastal Sunset by Edward Moran was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,964.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Moran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,327,500.00 (€ 1,254,963.13).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.964,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Moran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Commerce of Nations Rendering Homage to Liberty im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.327.500,00 (€ 1.254.963,13).
