A top price for Edward Julius Detmold - as previously expected
The work The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad the Sailor by Edward Julius Detmold was sold in the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,409.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad the Sailor is the most expensive artwork by Edward Julius Detmold that we have observed at auctions so far.
