Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edward Julius Detmold could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work The Jungle Book Portfolio: Two Plates changed hands for USD 480.00 (€ 380.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Julius Detmold achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad the Sailor in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,409.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Julius Detmold konnte im April 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit The Jungle Book Portfolio: Two Plates für USD 480,00 (€ 380,23) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Julius Detmold erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad the Sailor im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.409,15).
