Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work A bridge in a Continental mountainous landscape by Edward Henry Fahey for GBP 58.75 (€ 95.99). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL DRAWINGS AND WATERCOLOURS AND ILLUST at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Fahey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A girl playing with a cat in an interior in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,337.39).
