Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Edward Henry Fahey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2005. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work A ferry and inn on the Thames sold for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,056.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Fahey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A girl playing with a cat in an interior in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,337.39).

In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wurde die Arbeit A ferry and inn on the Thames für GBP 720,00 (€ 1.056,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 250,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Fahey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A girl playing with a cat in an interior im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.337,39).
