Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations, which included the work A coastal landscape by Edward Henry Fahey. The price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 631.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Fahey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A girl playing with a cat in an interior in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,337.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit A coastal landscape von Edward Henry Fahey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 631,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Fahey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A girl playing with a cat in an interior im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.337,39).
