It achieved a price of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,150.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Charles Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 11.150,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Charles Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 15.535,00 (€ 23.120,73) versteigert wurde.
