In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Sheep And Cattle In A Summer Landscape by Edward Charles Williams. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,572.91), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Charles Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sheep And Cattle In A Summer Landscape von Edward Charles Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.572,91) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Charles Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 23.120,73).
