Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures by a cottage by Edward Charles Williams was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,530.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Charles Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures by a cottage von Edward Charles Williams kam im November 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.530,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Charles Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 23.120,73).
