Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A figure on a riverside path by Edward Charles Williams. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 528.75 (€ 864.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Charles Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A figure on a riverside path von Edward Charles Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 528,75 (€ 864,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Charles Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 23.120,73).
