Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edvard Munch could be acquired at Christies in New York in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Eifersucht Ii (Jealousy Ii) changed hands for USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,051.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edvard Munch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Scream in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 119,922,500.00 (€ 96,993,286.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edvard Munch konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Eifersucht Ii (Jealousy Ii) für USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.051,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edvard Munch erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Scream im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.922.500,00 (€ 96.993.286,96).
