Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Spanish The Reader by Eduardo León Garrido for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,673.58). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eduardo León Garrido - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La farandole, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 59,856.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spanish The Reader von Eduardo León Garrido für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.673,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eduardo León Garrido mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La farandole beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 59.856,34) versteigert wurde.
