Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dama Con Flores (Lady With Flowers) by Eduardo León Garrido was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,312.39). Admittedly, works by Eduardo León Garrido have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La farandole in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 59,856.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dama Con Flores (Lady With Flowers) von Eduardo León Garrido im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.312,39) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo León Garrido auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La farandole im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 59.856,34).
