Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Art of the Soviet Union, which included the work Untitled (Stalin With Six Lenins) by Eduard Gorokhovsky. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eduard Gorokhovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Group Portrait In An Interior in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,066.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Art of the Soviet Union durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Stalin With Six Lenins) von Eduard Gorokhovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.932,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduard Gorokhovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Group Portrait In An Interior im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.066,33).
