A top price for Édouard Baldus - as previously expected
The work Portal, Amiens Cathedral by Édouard Baldus was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 61,000.00 (€ 39,182.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portal, Amiens Cathedral is the most expensive artwork by Édouard Baldus that we have observed at auctions so far.
