Despite a disappointment, a good price for Edmund Teske
When the work Selected Images by Edmund Teske was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,799.34). Despite this disappointing result, Selected Images is the most expensive artwork by Edmund Teske that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Edmund Teske
Als die Arbeit Selected Images von Edmund Teske im Oktober 2010 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.799,34) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Selected Images das teuerste Kunstwerk von Edmund Teske, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
