Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Waterfall, autumn by Edmund Gill. The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 569.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Gill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Falls on the Clyde in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,303.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterfall, autumn von Edmund Gill zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 384,00 (€ 569,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Gill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Falls on the Clyde im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.340,00 (€ 13.303,65).
