Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A river in full spate by Edmund Gill was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2003. It achieved a price of GBP 728.50 (€ 1,014.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Gill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Falls on the Clyde in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,303.65).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 728,50 (€ 1.014,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Gill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Falls on the Clyde im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.340,00 (€ 13.303,65).
