Admittedly, works by Edmund Gill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Falls on the Clyde in February 2003 with an auction result of USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,303.65).

Die Arbeit Waterfall von Edmund Gill kam im September 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.947,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Gill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Falls on the Clyde im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.340,00 (€ 13.303,65).
