Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Porcelain Pot; (ii) Porcelain Pot by Edmund de Waal was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in June 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,781.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund de Waal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A short history of the shadow in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,741.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Porcelain Pot; (ii) Porcelain Pot von Edmund de Waal kam im Juni 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.781,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund de Waal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A short history of the shadow im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 137.741,48).
