In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Vraic gathering (illustrated); and High spirits by Edmund Blampied. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 700.44) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Blampied achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fording the stream in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 24,327.01).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vraic gathering (illustrated); and High spirits von Edmund Blampied zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 700,44) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Blampied erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fording the stream im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 24.327,01).
