The work The potato planters; and The farm hands (both illustrated) by Edmund Blampied was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 700.44) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Blampied achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fording the stream in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 24,327.01).
