This artwork by Edmund Blampied achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2011. In the Maritime Art auction, the work The cider barrel (illustrated); The black bottle; and Country cider sold for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,240.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Blampied achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fording the stream in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 24,327.01).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edmund Blampied erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maritime Art wurde die Arbeit The cider barrel (illustrated); The black bottle; and Country cider für GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.240,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Blampied erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fording the stream im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 24.327,01).
