The work The cowman (illustrated); and The accusation by Edmund Blampied was sold in the Maritime Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 948.51), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Blampied achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fording the stream in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 24,327.01).

Die Arbeit The cowman (illustrated); and The accusation von Edmund Blampied wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 948,51) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edmund Blampied erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fording the stream im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.535,00 (€ 24.327,01).
