Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Edgar Maxence achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March last year. In the British and European Art auction, the work L'Espirit de la foret sold for GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,581.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Maxence achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Âme de la Source in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edgar Maxence erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit L'Espirit de la foret für GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.581,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Maxence erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Âme de la Source im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
