Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Edgar Hubert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2017. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Composition, October 1941 sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,119.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edgar Hubert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition Dec '44 sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,394.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edgar Hubert erzielte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Composition, October 1941 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.119,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Edgar Hubert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition Dec '44 im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.394,63).
